When to use the object pronouns?
Object pronouns are used to replace the nouns that serve as the objects, and here are the pronouns list (me, him, her, it, them, you, us).
Let’s have a look at the following object pronouns examples to understand more:
Example:
Can you help Maria with the homework?
Can you help her with the homework?
Explanation: Maria – her
Example:
I will text Jack later.
I will text him later.
Explanation: Jack – him
Examples:
She gave him the file. – (him – male – specific person that both speaker and listener know about)
I saw her in the meeting room. (her – female – specific person that speaker and listener know about)
The found it under the table. (it – can be an object or a pet, perhaps!)
