When to use Have and Has?
You need to use Have and has when describing belongings or things you get. You can use have and has to talk about positive and negative things such as:
I have a car (positive)
I have a headache (negative)
How to use (Have and has) in sentences?
You need to look at the subject. If the subject is (he, she, it), use (has). If the subject is (I, they, we, you), use (have). Let’s have a look at the following (have and has) rules to understand the idea better:
He + has (got) + object
She + has (got) + object
It + has (got) + object
I + have (got) + object
They + have (got) + object
You + have (got) + object
We + have (got) + object
*You can add (got)! It is an option
How to form questions using have and has?
You need to start the questions with (have and has) depending on the subject. Let’s have a look at the rules to learn more about have and has questions:
have + subject + got + object
has + subject + got + object
Have you got some free time?
Have they got a meeting this afternoon?
Has he got headache?
If you don’t want to use (got), you can use other verbs but make sure to use the past participle form, and that is related to the use of (Perfect Tense – which is explained in a separate post).ย
How to form negative sentences using have and has?
