You might be thinking like, ‘what!? a book with over 600 pages 😵’ no way!
Guess what! ‘Den of Vipers’ is really a quick read from beginning to finish! Once you start reading the first pages of the book, you find yourself progressing a lot as the story is easy to read and understand. You won’t feel the time 😃
Knight’s “Den of Vipers” is a riveting and intense story that goes into a world of betrayal, power, and a protagonist’s unwavering drive to break free.
If you’re looking for a novel that’s as dark and frightening as it is empowering, this book is a one-of-a-kind and intriguing read. The story takes place on a harsh, brutal planet ruled by the Vipers. When a debt is owed, these enigmatic and vicious men extract their pound of blood without hesitation. The plot concentrates on the protagonist’s dangerous journey following her father’s horrible decision to exchange her to settle his debt with the Vipers. From the first page, you’re thrown into a world of peril and intrigue, with no way out.
The first character you get to know in ‘Den of Vipers’ is Roxy who is described as a young and brave woman who runs away from her abusive dad and lives on her own. She is a boss in a dive bar who is responsible for setting up the rules and well respected by her everyone. She is a very independent woman who runs the bar by herself without having anyone else to help her. Her personality is very strong that no one can defeat her. She is a real fighter who never lets her past controls and defines her.
Now, let’s meet the four powerful Vipers, named as, Ryder, Kenzo, Diesel, and Garrett. As for Ryder and Kenzo, they are brothers, and Ryder usually takes full responsibility and blames himself when things go wrong, and always protects his young brother who is the gambler. Ryder is the leader of the Vipers and always tries to provide shelters to his brother.
On the other hand, Diesel’s personality is totally different from them as he seems to be mentally unstable, he even knows it as you would find him admitting that in some parts of the story. He doesn’t seem to care about anyone but his little bird who would go literally insane if he losses his bird. The last character is Garrett who seems to have a very hateful perspective towards women for being almost killed by his ex-partner.

Well, the thing is that, Roxy’s father owes money to the Vipers, and to save himself from being hurt by the Vipers, he decides to sell his daughter, Roxy to them. The Vipers thought that Roxy would be a very weak woman who can’t protect herself and so, they accept the offer. However, once they get into the bar and see Roxy with silver hair color, covering her body with tattoos, piercings everywhere, and yet, strong enough to defend herself and the bar.
It seems the Vipers manage to take her to their apartments but treated her really well in terms of meal, room of her own, clothes. She is absolutely respected by them. Throughout her stays with them, she starts to inspire them to look again into their lives and manages in healing them up. She knows how to change others’ perceptions toward life and how to look at things positively, despite the fact of being brought up by an abusive father.
